Hallucinations and anxiety are common symptoms of schizophrenia. A VR app can forcefully demonstrate to someone what these symptoms are like. The app includes a forest path along which users can experience a series of hallucinations during their "hike". The theme of anxiety is made tangible to the user as they cross a deep ravine on a slack line. The app was first presented at Psychiatry World Congress 2017 in Berlin, and it has since undergone further development.
Paranoia is represented by a weather chart whose forecast is transformed into the worst conditions upon closer inspection
